We all know that the Postal Service is going through tough economic times. No secret there. But no matter how deep the cuts go at the Postal Service, they still have expenses. Its vehicle fleet is a good example. The Postal Service Inspector General’s Office just released its report entitled “Delivery Vehicle Replacement Strategy“. Mark Duda is the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Audits at the Postal Service. He says that they originally did a study looking at the feasibility of electric vehicles for the Postal Service. But in doing that study, they learned a lot more about the current fleet.
